Today's Stop Time practice is a little exercise called Deathbed wisdom 💀
This is the morbid one!
- Sit down, close your eyes, breathe deeply and reeeeelax.
- Imagine you're lying on your deathbed. Think about all the things in your life that have brought you joy - what makes you smile?
- Now, go the other way - what do you wish you'd done or said? What do you wish you'd been brave enough to try? Where did you waste time? Who do you wish was still in your life?
- Feel that regret. How does it feel to know it's too late - you're never going to get the chance to fix those things?
- And now, because if you're reading this, you're a lucky fecker who still has time, relish that feeling of a second chance.
- If you were your future self speaking to your current self from your deathbed, what advice would you give yourself?
- Grab a pen and paper and listen to that voice. What is it telling you to do more/less of? Write it all down and see what adjustments you should make.
- Now go live like you were dying 🎶 (in the sage words of Tim McGraw)
